Breeding Pairs – Dendrobates leucomelas
I have several breeding pairs of Dendrobates leucomelas available for sale, as I am downsizing to focus on other species. In 2023 each of these pairs produced fertile eggs and tadpoles that successfully morphed-out into froglets.
D. leucomelas are a bold, highly active and easy to care for frog species that does well in groups and has a pleasant trilling call. They are ambitious climbers, and my personal favorite dart frogs.

Dendrobates leucomelas Fine Spot
This is the best beginner dart frog–hands down. Leucomelas have the highest tolerance to temperature and humidity variations. It also has one of the most pleasing calls. Having multiple males, one will start calling and then the others will inevitably join in.
A group of 4-5 is a great way to start.
Froglets are 3-6 month old.

Breeding Pair – Dendrobates auratus “Costa Rican green and black”
I have a single breeding pair of Costa Rican D. auratus available for sale (one order includes both frogs, shown in images). This pair has produced fertile eggs for me, but no tadpoles have morphed-out yet. So I am downsizing to focus on other species.
These frogs tend to be bolder and more visible than other D. auratus varieties. These are larger-sized dart frogs, and have a very striking mint green in coloration, with a soft, pleasant call.
