Yellow Bellied Toads – Bombina variegata HET Albino SUBADULT/ADULT
AKA yellow bellied ‘fire belly’ toads. HET albino, so once bred together there should be a mix of albino and wild type yellow bellies. Easily bred at 9 mo old. Really fun paludarium, moist vivarium, or even near fully aquatic with land section tank inhabitants.

Yellow bellied toads are a great addition to any amphibian collection. Originally from Europe, and also known as Saline Frogs these frogs stay fairly small, 1-2″ and enjoy a water section to soak. A tank with at least 18*18 will be sufficient for a few adult toads. They are voracious eaters, and will devour crickets and other small insect prey.

Bombina variegata is restricted to central and south-eastern Europe. The populations in Italy, south of the Po Valley are often treated as separate species
