These small frogs are endemic to Madagascar. Their natural habitats are subtropical moist montane forests, moist savanna, subtropical high-altitude grassland, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, and rural gardens. Keep in loose moss + loam mix that isnt too wet, isnt too dry. They like to borrow and hop out of their holes to feed and collect mist water.
