Selaginella ‘Micro – Ecuador’

This is a plant we imported in August and have propagated a clean section that is 2″ wide. This is a very rare offering, very small species of Selaginella stay under 2″ tall. As far as we know, frogsdirect.com is the only store in the US offering this plant/moss species. To care for this species of Selaginella, place it in a bright and moist location. It should never dry out and should have direct light if possible, but you don’t want the leaves to stay wet. I have one thriving in a vivarium next to a water feature, and they are doing well under grow lights in a dome. Easy to propagate, just pull off a section and place on substrate or sphagnum.
